Fridges in warm upper rooms and tight nooks
Many Glenview homes keep the refrigerator in a kitchen nook or an upper room that runs warm in the afternoon, and that trapped heat is hard on a fridge. Condenser coils that cannot shed heat make the compressor run longer, use more power, and wear out sooner. A fridge that runs constantly, or that keeps food just warm enough to notice, often needs airflow and a coil clean before it needs a part.
We pull the fridge out where access allows, clean the coils and the condenser area, check the door seals, and measure temperatures properly. We also advise on clearance: even an inch of extra airflow behind and above the fridge can drop running time noticeably, and that is free advice that pays for itself in compressor life.
