The newest Uptown towers carry matched appliance packages, often Samsung or LG, with smart controls and sensors that need a different kind of diagnosis. A fridge that shows an error code, a washer that stops mid-cycle with a code on the display, or an oven that will not hold temperature in a new tower often points to a sensor or a control board, and the code is the clue, not the whole answer. The building itself adds another layer, because parts and tools have to come up in the elevator, and a visit that is not booked with the building can be turned away at the lobby.
We read the error codes, test the sensors and boards they point to, and verify the fix on a full cycle before we leave, because a code that clears without a test can come straight back.
